  🏥 Free Eye Check-up Camp for Marginalized Communities in Varanasi Location : Panchayat Bhawan, Kathiraav, Baragaon, Varanasi Date : 19 June 2025 A free eye screening camp was successfully organized at Kathiraav Panchayat Bhawan, Baragaon (Varanasi) by JanMitra Nyas / People's Vigilance Committee on Human Rights (PVCHR) in collaboration with the Shiv Nadar Foundation’s Shiksha+ program , and supported by R.J. Shankara Eye Hospital, Varanasi . The camp aimed to provide free consultation, treatment, and surgical referrals for the visually impaired , especially torture survivors and marginalized individuals , in alignment with human dignity and healthcare access. 👁️‍🗨️ A total of 41 cataract patients were examined during the camp. One patient was identified as needing urgent surgery and was referred to R.J. Shankara Eye Hospital for further care.
